•Ismini although coming with a rational azerty keyboard configuration, is not
adapted to the qwerty keyboard. One solution to keyboard incompatibilities could be
a keyboard editor. (Personally I have been using for quite a long time the keyboard editor MacKeymeleon distributed by Logiciel Avenue (2162 boul. Charest Ouest, Ste-Foy, Qc, Canada, G1N 2G3, fax (418) 681-1055, tel. (418) 682-6968).
•One more problem, I think, concerning Greek fonts is ascii table incompatibility between most of the fonts available. A possible solution to this problem could be the use of a conversion program allowing to build conversion tables. I have been using the shareware Add/Strip (by Jon Wind, 2374 Hillwood Drive, Maplewood, MN 55119) to build conversion tables between most of the available Greek fonts and the conversion works extremely well. (You will find included here a number of such tables. To use them you must have Add/Strip and use ResEdit to install the conversion tables).
•One last (and certainly not least) problem concerning available Greek fonts is alphabetical sorting. So far as I am concerned I have never been able to sort correctly
a Greek text without manually moving around parts of it. (Lately, I have been «experimenting» for this kind of work with Conc, a concordance generator by John Thomson and MacLex, Lexicon Management and Reversal that both allow up to a certain point for custom alphabetical sorting). (Included here you will find an «OptionsGr(Is)» file to be used with Conc). Waiting for the times when Greek fonts get standardised, my gratitude will go to the person who will come up with an application, utility or control panel allowing to have an ad hoc alphabetical sorting ability for non standardised fonts.
